JJ Valaya’s comeback shows his true love affair with his couture. Although being a highly talented and passionate fashion designer, Valaya was disappointed and was no longer excited by the evolving fashion trends and came out completely uninspired from a fashion show in the year 2016. When Vogue India asked him about his reason to take a break, he told
“I had to face a harsh reality that after 25 years, I was bored of what I was seeing and quite honestly, of what I was doing as well”.
“However, a quick hiatus, it turns out, is a wonderfully honest companion. It made me realize even more how intense my love affair with couture truly was. For me, couture is not just crafting clothing. It is a deeper emotion, an experience, and a luxury; one that has the ability to alter how people feel about themselves. But it is also about being honest to oneself,” he further added.
Recently, after six months of research and plenty of experimentation and wonderful techniques he has unveiled the luxurious new definition of grandeur and elegance by introducing his amazing winter 2019 couture collection ‘Tabriz’. His groom and bridal wear collection is an ode to the brand’s 27 years old tagline ‘The Royal Nomad’.
