She lunged into the working sector at a young age of 21. She got married at the age of 24 and embraced the joy of being a mother of a beautiful daughter at an age of 27. Till date she has managed to travel across 38 countries of the world. Kamiya states that with a travel passionate father being a wanderlust has been genetic for her. Recalling her earliest instance of travel she states that during her childhood her father would pack the stuff and take her along with her two sibiling in their Maruti 800 to explore the beauties of nature. During her childhood they would go forward for exploring places from beaches to the hills. By the time she touched her teenage years she had already travelled around several places across the country on a budget. Often during the travelling to save on a few bucks they would enjoy the staycation at their relatives place. Her father managed to save on additional bucks by opting to drive instead of buying travel tickets. All her childhood travel instances gave her lessons on how to travel within a set budget.
At the age of 19 her father took the family on their first international trip which covered countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Post joining her job in a media firm as a reporter she had to give up on travelling due to her hectic work life. Life truly surprises you at the most unexpected occasions. This came true in Kamiya’s case as one year into joining she was sent off to Malaysia to cover F1 race as a replacement for her fellow colleague. The opportunity gave her much exposure as she got a chance to interact with travel journalist from around the world. Life had much more in store for her. After years of toiling on desk job she got a lifetime opportunity wherein she got the chance to host a lifestyle show of her own channel. The job required her to travel extensively around the country and abroad to cover the life of people. As a travel host she has travelled across several countries and also has indulged in several fun activities such as ballooning, snorkeling, bungee jumping and many more.
During her tenure as a travel host she had managed to travel to 20 countries. After 2 years of working in the lifestyle and travel show, cupid striked her and she met her soulmate. Post marriage she decided to find herself a steady job to be by side of her family. She gave up her job of a travel anchor and joined as a studio news anchor.
