Radio – The voice to all … for all … by one!

The World Radio Day is celebrated on 13^th February every year. With the move of technology, it’s time to turn the pages back and revive the efforts of people who contribute towards the spread of information to make it a news or a spread of expression across the globe.

It is an undeniable fact that Radio since beginning has always been a prominent medium even after the era of new discoveries. The transmission of waves for sending news, promoting education and transmitting information when now has shifted to television, mobile phones etc, this mode of radio cannot be forgot.

World Radio Day 2020 is themed over, “Radio and Diversity.” The focus here lies on linguistic tolerance, diversity and plurilingualism. On a broader perspective, radio is a source to rejoice intercultural competence, humanity and democratic citizenship.

Since the era of vintage radios, it served for freedom of expression at the time of war and peace.
