So, how did she get the idea of designing lehenga for her own? Netika who loved giving company for others wedding shopping, fell in love with the beautiful, artistic weaving of the artisans of banarasi. She was impressed so much with their craftsmanship that she ended up having an extraordinarily rich collection of banarsi fabric. Her love for this fabric made her keep the fabric safe for over two years. Who knew that her very same collection would be used in her elaborate bridal attire which was well acclaimed by the guests.

Born and brought up in a Rajput environment, Netika Bhatia always dreamt of getting dressed like a royal queen in the form of Rajput Bride. She knew that the regal silk for queen’s favourite during Mughal era. To renew this tradition, she designed the lehenga which had broad weaving motifs in pink and violet shades. She paired this beautiful colour combination with mint green net dupatta with a pink border highlighting and golden pearl borders. This unique attire looked even more exclusive with the antique temple jewellery and a Rajput style borla or maang tika.

Before starting with the designing part of the lehenga, one needs a clear perception of their style and look they want. Netika wanted to furnish a royal Rajput Bride look. She Started well in advance on her designing work, so that in a possibility if her outfit did not turnout as desired, she would have enough time to choose another attire.
