Knowing the Interesting Facts 

  • Jaipur was founded in 1927 by The King “Jai Singh II”. He was the king of Amber, who ruled over the city from 1699-1743. 
  • The city name “Jaipur” was given by its founder himself “Maharaja Jai Singh II.” He was a great astronomer and warrior. The king shifted his city from Amber to Jaipur in 1733. 
  • The building of Jaipur was guided by Vastu Shastra, and which was done under the influence of Diwan Vidhyadhar Chakavarti. Shilpa Shastra also played a part in planning for Jaipur City. 
  • Hawa Mahal” - The major monument in Jaipur in regards to the crown, which was based on Lord Krishna. It has 953 windows, or you can call them Jharokas. 
  • Jaipur is considered as the earliest planned and structured city along with Madurai City. It was also planned under the direction and influence of Vidhyadhar Chakravarti. 
  • The city is famous with a name called “The Pink City”, which is given to symbolize Raja Ram Singh’s (SECOND). It was his ambition to turn Jaipur City as the Imperial City just like Delhi itself. 
  • Jantar Mantar is known for being the world’s largest stunning stone sundial. It is known as the UNESCO World Heritage site. 
  • Albert Hall Museum is a significant monument, which is the oldest museum of Jaipur constructed in 1876. 
  • Albert Hall is most famous for its stunning and shinier architectural marbles and best at its vibrant culture.

Amer Palace (Amber Palace) is located around 11 Kms away from Jaipur City. One of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, which is built with the Hindu and Mughal’s both styles. Raja Man Singh I started the construction of this fort in 1592, which is very strong and safe. It was secure and stood against defending from enemies as well. The fort was completed under the empire of Mirza Raja Jai Singh. Made with white marbles, red stones, prestigious mirrors and stones. It was spellbound to catch magnificent architectures. This monument is 7 centuries older, but still got eyes from world wide being the true beauty of Jaipur

Albert Hall Museum (Central Museum)

The museum got its name from “The Victoria and Albert Museum'' which is located in London. It was designed with inspiration from the same museum. It is situated in the middle of Ram Niwas Garden, which makes it look lavish by its site. The museum held mind boggling beauty, and was designed with different styles influenced by Indo-Saracenic architecture. The only Prince Of Wales established the first stone of this museum. There are a number of miniatures housed in the museum. Jaigarh Fort 

Jaigarh Fort is 15 Kms away from Jaipur City and built by the reputed Sawai Jai Singh II in early 18th century. It is surrounded by amidst, thorn scrub and rocky covered hills that seem very historical and enthusiastic. However, the world’s largest cannon “Jaiban” is also in Jaipur’s Jaigarh Fort.
