One of the most imperative ornaments during the wedding of Pheras is the Bridal Chudas. These are the traditional bangles worn by the bride before the traditional pheras. Commonly they are a combination of red and white and it is common in most Indian weddings.

Now, why is this bride the talk of the town? Is it because she is a Sabyasachi bride? Does it have something to do with the choice of jewellery? Well, the answer is a big yes to all.

Bridal Chudas Going Viral

Meet our fascinating bride Akriti Chadda from Ludhiana who took vows with her beloved Aashir Gajjar on July 7, 2018. What made her even more attractive was her choice to ditch the regular red and white chudas and go for the plain ivory white Bridal chudas.

The 10-day-long wedding ceremonies commenced in Jalandhar with a ritual and concluded in Ahmedabad with a grand reception. Among many brides who wished to clone Anushka Sharma’s marital attire, Akriti was also one of them. She preferred the same pastel shade lehenga with intricately embroidered floral motifs with sequins and stone highlighting. Her pearl Choker set with a long necklace, and a matching matha Patti added to the grandeur of her look.

And They Lived Happily...

The love story of Akriti and Aashir was really impressive. Despite the contrasting cultures and backgrounds, both had love ignited in their hearts when they first met in Seattle. Their flame of love glowed brighter with every date for two weeks.

Thereafter, returning to Hong Kong, they never thought they would miss each other so much. The long duration of Facetime calls even after the 16-hour time difference showed that distances and time hindrances cannot hinder the meeting of true soulmates.

After going through a short ordeal of convincing both the families, the bride from Punjabi background and the Groom from Gujrati, they both tied the proverbial knot in front of the sacred Pyre and promised to be together for the rest of their lives.
