Recently Sabyasachi organised Sabyasachi 25th anniversary show for working in the industry which he celebrated with a grand fashion event that showcased his fashion inspiration and journey. The event showcased his legacy and hard-work. From fashion to heritage, the event had some of the iconic moments.
The Sabyasachi 25th anniversary show was totally dedicated to the Bengali art and heritage. The inside decor has two kolkata house structures which had designer garments lifelessly hang on them, exactly like our elders will do. A water fountain, resembling the Victorian Memorial, centered the space and adorned with tigers, a Bengali symbol. A Bengali song, 'Jokhon porbe na mor payer chinho,' played beautifully in the background. The song conveys, 'When my footsteps will not be imprinted on roads, I shall not be there to row my little boat.

Later on the Sabyasachi 25th anniversary show lit up with some of the Bengali hits by Asha Bhosle and Lata Mangeshkar coupled with Leonard Cohen and Usha Uthup numbers. The designers used houses as runways, detailing them with old switchboards and iconic flickable switches. Long printed Sabyasachi sarees hung lavishly on the balconies. The decor looked straight out of a Bengali movie set.
