Dazzling clothes paired up with bizarre designs pop in our mind and leave us baffled, yet a bit mesmerized. This is how the fashion world pours it’s elegance into us and inspires us to dress for ourselves. Fashion has taught us, that it is not about the trendy styles or popular brands, but about the wholesome philosophy that runs behind it. And the golden philosophy is the amount of confidence a fashion style FDCI India Couture gives.

It solely depends on the amount of confidence fashion gives to people; it is how the style motivates the respective person to go out and face the world head-on! All the quotes similar to “You can achieve anything if you dress for it” or the debates about makeup helping people to express themselves better, is how everybody should describe fashion. This is the positive and accepting outlook we are expecting from our crowd. And if you think about it properly, then you will realize that fashion plays a very big role in bridal attires. The Fashion Design Council of India organized FDCI India Couture Week 2019 in partnership with the very popular Hindustan Times showcased the budding designers along with some veterans. The highlight of this seven days festival was the bridal collection “BLOOM” by Tarun Tahiliani.

7 Days Of Bridal Dresses In FDCI India Couture Couture Week

The First Day: 22nd July 2019

 On the first day of FDCI India Couture week Amit Aggarwal showcased his amazingly intricate collection ‘Lumen.’ The concept behind this series was shaared to be, “For the ones who dream of extraordinary world.” Lumen is a collection of designs which has been inspired from the structure of the human body. Hence, these designs are full of framework, fluidity and form backed up with sexy colors. Kiara Advani was the show stopper of Lumen 2019. She wore a hot red gown with detailed motifs.

The Second Day: 23rd July 2019

DLF Emporio and Mehta & Sons presented Suneet Verma on the second day. Suneet Verma presented the beautiful collection ‘Amara.’ The ace designer featured the designs with elegant layers and fluttering ruffles. This bridal couture was an actual treat to the eyes which enforced the trendy designs right into our hearts. The best part about the collection was the indo-western touch that was given to every dress. FDCI India Couture simply was  a collection on which every lady would want her hands on. All the glitz and glamour that Suneet added to his designs were simply mind-blowing.

The Third Day: 24th July 2019

Pankaj & Nidhi presented their collection first time in the Indian Couture Week with the jewellery by House of Aynat. They presented the dazzling and sexy collection called ‘Mosaiq.’ This collection is inspired from the popular art work called ‘mosaic’ in which the artist assembles the small pieces of glass, ceramic, and much more things into a decorative pattern.

But this beautiful collection is a tribute to this ancient artistry. Pankaj and Nidhi have used the three dimensional hand cut appliqué in these designs. Aditi Rao Hydari opened the collection with a pink shimmery base and a dramatic blouse. Then the second collection was by the budding designer Rahul Mishra. The name of his collection was ‘Malhausi Monaco’ which largely showcased the freshness of the floral prints.

But the major thing about this fashion show was the inspiration of the designs. Rahul Mishra made all these designs from the memory of his childhood village Malhausi.

  The Fourth Day: 25th July 2019

The first collection of this day was Sulakshana Monga. She presented her exotic collection called “The Cultural Cascade.” The vibrant and fresh colors of this collection were inspired by the festival of colors called Holi.

This collection used seven colors inspired from the festival and they are as follows- green, fuschia, red, orange, yellow, lavender and baby pink.  The show stopper for this collection was the popular Malaika Arora who walked in a stunning warm yellow lehenga.

The last collection of the day was by the designers Shyamal and Bhumika. They presented their regal collection called “The Renaissance Muse.” The designs made by the loving designers were very gorgeous to look at. Not to forget the colors of the collection hit a cord of another level, the subtle pink and the passionate red were unavoidable.

This grand series was inspired from various decorative art categories from the renaissance period like- Baroque art. Moreover, the show was stopped by the ever pretty and young Kriti Sanon who won our heart with her lehenga which was inspired from the frescos and floral water paintings.

The Fifth Day: 26th July 2019

The first collection of this day was presented by Reynu Taandon. She presented the bright and contemporary collection called ‘The Savannah Saga.’ This collection embarked a new benchmark when it comes to the usage of pastel shades in bridal couture. The show was stopped by the ever beautiful Rakul Preet in a rose gold lehenga.

The last collection of the day was of the talented designers Falguni Shane Peacock. The name of the drop dead gorgeous collection was ‘BONJOUR AMER.’ The designers put the utmost effort to bring out the beauty of the couture by embellishing them with intricate and mesmerizing motifs.

The light shades, feathery effects and the translucent veils of the outfits won everybody’s hearts. The show stopper for this collection was the very beautiful Sara Ali Khan, who herself wore a white lehenga.

The Sixth Day: 27th July 2019

On the seventh day the amazingly talented designer Gaurav Gupta showcased his work. The name of his electric collection was ‘Undercurrent.’ The inspiration behind this collection was none other than the name of the collection. The undercurrent of water and its properties were spotted on these designs. The show stopper of this collection was the allegory of the sea goddess, Diana Penty in a shimmery evening gown.

The Seventh Day: 28th July 2019

The last highlight of this week was Tarun Tahiliani. The name of this beautiful collection was ‘BLOOM.’ In this collection, the designer was inspired by a variety of flowers and a variety of exotic and rustic color.
