Mukesh Ambani and Neeta Ambani hosted sensational wedding festivities for their son Anant Ambani, who got married to Radhika Merchant, the daughter of the CEO of Encore Healthcare, Viren Merchant. 

People gathered outside their houses at Antilla and Jio World Convention Center just to get a tiny glimpse of the wedding and celebrities like Kim and Khloe Kardashian, John Cena, Ministers, and Bollywood stars. 

The wedding was on 12th July, but there were several other functions that were the highlight of the whole wedding. 

Beginning With Mameru

The pre-wedding festivities kicked off with a Gujarati tradition, that is, the Mameru ceremony. The ritual was held at Ambani's residence, led by Nita Ambani’s mother, Smt. Purnima Dalal and sister Mamta Dalal.

So, in this tradition, the groom’s maternal side of the family showers the couple with blessings and gifts, reflecting the involvement of the family in the wedding festivities. Here, the maternal uncle presents gifts like pahonchi (ring) and the bridal gharchola(the outfit that the bride wears on the wedding day) from the bride’s mother’s side of the family.

For this festivity, Radhika wore a custom bandhani lehenga by designer Manish Malhotra. The vibrant hue of pink with Banarasi brocade looked a perfect combination, and what made her outfit unique was the magnificent gold zardozi taar embroidery and  Durga Maa shlok written on the borders of the lehenga.

The groom’s sister wore the drape saree by Arpita Mehta, and the brightness of the orange color and Kundan jewelry looked absolutely regal on her. 

Nita Ambani also opted for a bandhani lehenga by Sabyasachi with a stunning piece of emerald, diamond, and kundan in the jewels, and her daughter-in-law Shloka Mehta wore a pink and orange lehenga by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla along with diamond jewelry. 

The elder son, Akash Ambani, looked handsome in a custom Anamika Khanna. Some celebrities such as Janhvi Kapoor, Shikhar Pahariya, Manushi Chhillar, Orry, and designer Manish Malhotra were also present.

The Lovely Dandiya Night

Visuals from the close family’s dandiya night are all over the internet. Kokilaben Ambani, grandmother of Anant Ambani, hosted the event for the bride and groom. The event happened in Mumbai, and the theme resembled the ISKCON temple with three idols of Radha Krishna placed similarly to the other temples all over the world. 

The dress code was bright ethnic outfits, and everyone, including celebrities like Manushi Chhillar, Meezaan Jafri, Shikhar, and Veer Pahariya, dressed as per the dress code.

Her messy bun with flowers was absolutely magical. Akash Ambani looked dapper in a custom Aqua Patola Bundi by Kunal Rawal, and Shloka wore a Tarun Tahilani lehenga. 

The Glamorous Sangeet Night

Ambanis hosted an extravagant star-studded sangeet night with a long celebrity guest list. From Bollywood to politics, everyone was part of the glamorous night. The theme of the night was Celebration of Hearts, which offered music, dance, and high fashion, and the dress code was Indian regional glam.

The event had uncountable highlights that made the sangeet memorable forever, and the main part was a private concert by Justin Biber. As the videos went viral on the internet, many celebrities were grooving to the beats of the international singer. 

When it comes to the Ambanis, everything is private, customized, and luxurious. For the sangeet night, Radhika Merchant looked radiant in the Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla couture. The mesmerizing shade of pink was perfectly blending with the hues of the mint green dupatta. Its embroidered Swarovski crystals with an off-shoulder crystal blouse were making her shine in the crowd. For her hairstyle she opted for soft curls along with nude and subtle makeup. The selection of jewelry made her overall look incredible. For dancing, she wore a custom Manish Malhotra lehenga adorned with over 25,000 Swarovski elements.

And the outfit list does not end here as for the party with Justin Biber, she wore a Manish Malhotra sequin saree with a corset, and to complete the look, the diamond choker looked spectacular.  

The groom opted to wear a navy blue bandhgala with gold hand embroidery and diamond-ruby buttons, which made his look more enhanced. Then afterward, for dancing and post-sangeet fun, he wore a silver and blue outfit custom-made by Manish Malhotra adorned with Swarovski crystals.

For the sangeet ceremony Neeta Ambani wore a custom jeweled lehenga in pink tone by Falguni Shane Peacock along with heavy diamond jewels. 

Other than the Manish Malhotra lehenga, Shloka also wore a Faraz Manan embellished black silver lehenga and a custom Tamara Ralph pink draped dress. 

Along with Schiaparelli's first-ever custom saree, Isha Ambani wore a custom Faluni Shane Peacock outfit with 160,000 silver crystals and multicolored gemstones with emerald-hued stones. The groom’s brother Akash Ambani wore a custom Manish Malhotra metallic and Swarovski crystal ombré sherwani.

Grah Shanti Puja

Before the wedding, the Ambanis and Merchants hosted a grah shanti puja at  Antilia, where the family members were wearing their best traditional attires. As per the Hindu tradition, the puja is performed ahead of a wedding to bring happiness and prosperity into the house.

For this event, Radhika looked absolutely elegant and charming in the classic white saree with a red blouse, and what made her look captivating was the dots of Chandan on her head.
